I use WD-40 for so many things. I keep my own can in under the kitchen sink. My hubby knows he better leave my can alone. If he can't find his can in the garage then its time to clean it. Its wonderful for cleaning off black heel marks on the floor. I've used it on gum in the kids hair. Crayon marks on a window seal.ï?1/2Squeakyï?1/2door hinges and the list goes on and on. The best thing is getting spray paint off my hands, arms, hair and any other place I end up with paint. It also works great onï?1/2permanentï?1/2marker on skin.ï?1/2

I used to love this product, with the old cans with a straw hooked to the side. This new design is terrible. I bought a can, and after using half it decided to quit spraying. So i bought another can, it did the same thing. I decided to give it one more try, and to no avail, another can quit spraying once it was half used. I'm not the only issue. I have watched friends smash these cans into the ground or throw them across the shop they were so mad due to the same exact thing happening to them multiple times. I now buy the penetrating lubricant on the same shelf for half the price and it works until the can is empty and does just what I need it to do. I have tried returning these cans to the store, I collected all of mine, my friends, and families half empty cans (10+ cans) and put them in a box and took them back to where i purchase them. They told me there was nothing they could do about it. I will never purchase this product again.

Cans stop spraying half full

By Bob Ra

from MA

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

Great producer BUT I have 2 cans, half full which will not spray. Your site says this is common in this industry, then sell for half the price since we only get half the product to use.

Doesn't work, can leaks at joint

By notneeded

from Undisclosed

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

No liquid comes out of the straw or the spray nozzle, instead it leaks from where the rotating joint meets the can and oozes out onto your hand.

Leaky can

By donnapete22

from Oberlin, LA, United States

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

Have never had a problem like this before......works great, always has, BUT, had a can setting on a shelf in my storage room, not too hot or too cold, and it somehow leaked, a lot. Ate paint off of another can of whatever, dripped down the shelves and pooled onto other shelves and some plastic trays....hardened a little, was easy to scrape off with minimal effort, but actually pitted one plastic tray while another type of the same make was unharmed.....never had this happen before and have had cans set for multiple years, way longer than this one......???????????any ideas why?????

"Smart Straw" is Absolutely Useless

By Rbobhowe

from Massillon Ohio

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

I bought several cans of WD-40, intrigued by the Smart Straw---and was immediately disappointed. Upon my first attempt a small rubber washer fell out of the supposedly Smart Straw; I attempted to replace the washer, but the plastic parts of the straw are so soft that pieces were no longer able to be rejoined. My second attempt: the WD-40 sprays everywhere EXCEPT through the ports on the friggin' straw. What a complete waste of product--I am sorely disappointed. I'm off to dig through the recycling to see if I can locate the old spray nozzle from my last old-style can...

This is literally the worst product ever

By nope

from San Antonio, TX, United States

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

Don't buy this. It only works to spray oil all over your hands, body and eyes. The smart straw is anything but - what a poorly designed product.

Second Time

By Jimba

from Sarasota, FL, United States

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

First time I thought it was better than sliced bread. SECOND time a few weeks later WD 40 came out where you press it and it ran down my arm. I now have a can 99% full that I am unable to use. Did you test this container? How Many? Just a piece of JUNK!!!

Great Product

By Edward

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

Years ago when wd40 first came out a friend who worked at a auto parts store recommended it to me, I've been using it ever since. I keep a can in my work shop in the basement and another in the garage. It is a great product for many uses.

great product

By ccotmon

from Lauderdale Lakes, FL, United States

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

My name is James. I use WD 40 to keep spiders from re-building webs in my screened in swimming pool. If one sprays the beams that prop up the screens, spider webs do not stick. I live in south FLA, and now is rainy season.Much to my surprise the WD40 remained in tact and no spider webs after three weeks! I also removed webs from other parts of the pool area and the webs were back in two to three DAYS!! Only the areas where I sprayed WD40 are there NO webs!! Thanks WD40 for a great product. Bring Back The Old Straw!

from New Mexico

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

These new cans run out of propellant with half of the product still in the can. Numerous other reviewers have reported the same problem. I now have 3 cans of used WD-40 that are half full. There won't be a fourth! The old "Stupid Straw" worked much better.

Great Product but unable to use all out of the can

By James3546

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

I purchased a can of WD40 a while ago and the product is great but I can never get all of it out the can, even with the smart straw.

Keeping Tractor Trailer Rigs on the go, in Winter

By 1FranklySpeaking2

from DeRuyter, NY, United States

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

Using warm WD-40 spray has helped me, many times, release frozen brakes from the drums, on tractors and trailer rigs in sub-zero weather.. The brake shoes are not harmed because the WD-40 disperses and evaporates, with the frozen moisture especially after a few stops to make sure the brakes are moisture free; the drums become absolutely dry.... Just amazing !!

aerosol in can runs out before product.

By Janet

from Indianapolis, IN, United States

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

I love spot shot but on more than one occasion the aerosol in the can runs out before the product and there is half a can left that I can't use. I really hate to throw my money away!

stupid straw design

Stupid straw design that keeps falling off_go back to the simple! I prefer to lose the nozzle!

"Smart Straw" is dumb

By TsunamiJohn

from Ohio, United States

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

I've pretty much stopped buy WD-40 since all I can find it in at local retailers is the "Smart Straw". My experience is that the nozzle leaks and gets everywhere except where I'm pointing it. Since WD-40 hasn't made the old version of the can an option, I've moved on to another product after using WD-40 for over 40 years.

Hate it! Double Whammy -

By Lamari

from Florida

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

- New plastic-contraption top sucks in two ways: 1.Now an ExTreme rip-off. We have had 2 cans in a row that have stopped spraying, with half the contents now unusable, due to the stupid new top, and; 2. Worse for the environment (more horrible, non-biodegradable plastic to pollute the earth)...Oh, and a third!: 3. Now we think very poorly of the WD-40 Company - and we were such fans previously!

The new design is anything but smart!!!!!!!!!!

By casapro

from Austin TX

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

A classic example of a new poorly executed design literally ruining a good company. I suggest you change your smart straw before it is your demise. I personally cannot buy your product again until you do. You tried to make it better, didn't work, change it back!!!

Worst Idea ever

By ezrider714

from Canton Ohio

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

Swiveling action parts are made of inferior plastic for the intended use, Have 2 cans where the lugs either broke off or became deformed. There is also no sealing when the straw is in the up position and it does leak at that joint. Much rather take my chances losing the straw, have many that I have collected over the years.. Thumbs down to this idea, sounded good but execution is beyond poor

Not a fan

By Kve818

from Undisclosed

Comments about WD-40 Spray:

I've bought several of these smart straw cans over the past few years. That's basically all I can find anymore. The smart straw is a great concept however I find myself not being able to use all of the contents in the can before the straw becomes defective and difficult to get product out. The last thee cans purchased was this way. I love wd40 but not the smart straw.
