Comments about Swingline Stack-and-Shred Automatic Cross Cut Shredder:
I wish the manual override option took more than 3 sheets at a time without jamming. The stack option is nice, but the paper needs to be unwrinkled, and it had a problem grabbing smaller items like envelopes at first. On a positive note, it is pretty quiet, and you can shred hands free if you place paperwork in the unit. Small bin, and if the bin is full, the motor will not turn on at all.

Q:how do i feed odd size paper, cd, or credit cards through the shredder? is there a safety mechanism inside the machine to stop shredding if over heated or if something is jammed? will I be able to shred labels removed from packing products? if a paper is caught in the shredder and the shredder becomes overheated, will the shredder automatically shut off and once the shredder has cool off, will I be able to resume shredding with the paper still in the shredder?Asked on 2/13/2012 by jeffolie from Long Beach, California 90815
A:The Swingline Stack-and-Shred Shredder includes a manual feed for papers and credit cards (it is not recommended for CDs). It features an automatic cool-down and jam clearance.Answered on 2/15/2012 by Adam
