Since the first Stanley Bostitch stapler rolled out in 1914, the company has added innovations such as coiled springs to advance staples automatically, pivoted staplers that open for tacking and the connected strip of staples that makes loading easy. Bostitch also has a line of hole punches and manual and electric pencil sharpeners, including the QuietSharp line that is quieter and resists stalling. Bostitch tools also have a proud history, including tool kits and utility knives.
Bostitch was founded in 1896 and became Stanley Bostitch in 1986.
