I had been using Dawn Power Dissolver for a long time, mostly to treat greasy stains on clothing, so I was dismayed last year to find it was no longer on grocery store shelves. I have just ordered my second case of 6 1-qt. bottles. I have been sharing it with friends, all of whom absolutely LOVE it (just this afternoon a friend asked me to order more - she was using it to clean her very old, old oven with 40 years - she said - of accumulated grease. She has some breathing problems and said DPD doesn't affect her breathing as badly as other oven cleaners). I gave one bottle to the woman who cleans my house; she used that bottle very quickly and really liked it so she will again be the recipient of one of these new bottles. As I said earlier, my major use of it is to treat greasy stains on clothing - it has never failed me, but I also now have a new gas stove and am determined to keep its pristine appearance with DPD.

I bought a bottle of Dawn Power Dissolver years ago, in an attempt to salvage a favorite baking pan that had stayed in the oven a bit too long and I thought had seen its last days. I used it on the really baked on, tough areas, the ones that would normally send a good baking pan to the trash, and I'll be darned if it didn't work -- like magic. I save it for the truly gruesome messes, so the bottle lasted me many years (at least 9-10). Finally used the last, went to find more and it's been discontinued. But I found some at Discount Office Supply and grabbed a carton of them, enough to last, literally, the rest of my life. Good cookware can be prohibitively expensive, but I can buy a really good piece of cookware at a yard sale or thrift store, use this on it and it will be like new. Excellent product; too bad it won't be around long.

I have been using DPD for years and was dismayed to find that it had been discontinued, but happy to find it online even though I had to buy 6 big bottles of it (since I am nearly 80, I imagine they will last the rest of my life). I have found that DPD works wonders for greasy stains on clothes - I have never been disappointed - just spray on and wash - and I don't necessarily wash the item soon after I spray it. Still works fine.
I recently used it on my very old stove at my summer cabin and was amazed at how quickly and effortlessly it worked.
I've given one bottle to a friend so she can keep her brand new gorgeous gas stove beautiful. She was very grateful.

Spray onto baked on greased and crud. Leave it for several hours, then scrub with brillo and it comes clean beautifully
