I use WD-40 for so many things. I keep my own can in under the kitchen sink. My hubby knows he better leave my can alone. If he can't find his can in the garage then its time to clean it. Its wonderful for cleaning off black heel marks on the floor. I've used it on gum in the kids hair. Crayon marks on a window seal.ï?1/2Squeakyï?1/2door hinges and the list goes on and on. The best thing is getting spray paint off my hands, arms, hair and any other place I end up with paint. It also works great onï?1/2permanentï?1/2marker on skin.ï?1/2

I used to love this product, with the old cans with a straw hooked to the side. This new design is terrible. I bought a can, and after using half it decided to quit spraying. So i bought another can, it did the same thing. I decided to give it one more try, and to no avail, another can quit spraying once it was half used. I'm not the only issue. I have watched friends smash these cans into the ground or throw them across the shop they were so mad due to the same exact thing happening to them multiple times. I now buy the penetrating lubricant on the same shelf for half the price and it works until the can is empty and does just what I need it to do. I have tried returning these cans to the store, I collected all of mine, my friends, and families half empty cans (10+ cans) and put them in a box and took them back to where i purchase them. They told me there was nothing they could do about it. I will never purchase this product again.

Smart straw can, not so smart

By

from Undisclosed

Comments about WD-40 Lubricant Spray:

I've been buying WD-40 for decades. My current 8oz can has quit working. I've tried the tips on the site to no avail. It's money wasted. Also the video states don't shake the can, the can says to shake it well. Perhaps I shook off the straw inside???

Since returning to scootering (after more years than I care to admit) my Honda SH300 looks like new even after 9 years from buying it new.

1/4 of 8oz spray can not coming out

By

from Boynton Beach, FL, United States

Comments about WD-40 Lubricant Spray:

I recently purchased W/D 40 8oz spray, I have been using this product for years however being left with 1/4 can that will not spay is very disappointing as to their 2017 quality control.

Unhappy

Comments about WD-40 Lubricant Spray:

I have been using wd40 for years and sold it for over 20 but when you came out with the smart straw you short yourself in the foot. I have personally thrown out cans that did not work and stopped selling your product because of complaint from my customers.

Should make the can 1/4 smaller

By

from Odessa, TX, United States

Comments about WD-40 Lubricant Spray:

I have purchased 2 of these "smart straw" WD40 cans - both of them leave about 1/4 of the product - will not dispense. Just went to cemetery to clean mothers headstone (WD-40 works great for that) and could not get the product to spray! So frustrating. The old spray system worked for years - is this an improvement?

Disappointed

By

from Hebron, OH, United States

Comments about WD-40 Lubricant Spray:

I bought this 12oz size and a 7oz size and im very disappointed in the change you made to the spray. I can't get everything out of the can, theres plenty left inside, but it just sputters. I need to spray downwards and need to tilt the can. I hate the spray nozzle , and its hard to press that top button, i like the trigger better. I like WD40 but not the change you made.

12 oz container of WD-40 won't spray in either way

By

from Seattle, WA, United States

Comments about WD-40 Lubricant Spray:

I have been using WD-40 for a wide variety of jobs for years with great results. However when I tried to use a new 12 oz 2 way spray can the container wouldn't spray in either mode. When it became obvious that the sprayer would not work I removed the plastic spray head and depressed the white tube and it sprayed but when I replaced the plastic head it would not spray. Is there any way of solving this problem so I don't have to send a full container of WD-40 to a landfill?

Juice GREAT ~ Can SUCKS!

By

from State College, PA

Comments about WD-40 Lubricant Spray:

I buy the Gallon metal can and spray liberally. I've been doing it for decades. When I refill my spray bottle, I dribble all over the place. Please make a plastic can that pours without making a mess.

Great Idea

By

Comments about WD-40 Lubricant Spray:

I would by WD40 in this format if the can was re-fillable. I always look for products that reduce waste. Re-recyclable is good but reusable and re-recyclable is better.

I like the product but....

By

from Springfield, MA, United States

Comments about WD-40 Lubricant Spray:

As an older person, I've been using WD-40 for many years. My only complaint, the cans stop spraying long before the product is used up. I've had to throw away cans of WD-40 when they were half to nearly half full, a very big waste of money. Having had this happen so many times now, it seems that there may be a defect in the way the product is distributed from it's container.

Dependable but runs out of propellant

By

from Indianapolis, IN, United States

Comments about WD-40 Lubricant Spray:

Have used for years and always pleased until recently. Have had to throw last 3 cans away with liquid left in them, because propellant was used up. Great lubricant but only if it will come out of the can. What say you WD 40??

Bad application

Verified Buyer

Comments about WD-40 Lubricant Spray:

I have used WD40 since the 60's and never had an issue with the product until the swing arm/straw spray. Two cans stopped spraying before the can was half used.
It is hard to find the old sprayer in cans larger than 3 oz. Still love the product but the spray straw needs a fix.

40% left in can

By

from Undisclosed

Comments about WD-40 Lubricant Spray:

I use WD40 for a variety of tasks as either a penetrant or to clean and dry electrical contacts. The smart straw can UPC# 079567100324 ran out of air with 40% of the fluid left in the can. Recommend staying away from this aerosol can.
