Comments about Safco Value Mate Desk Riser, 100-Pound Capacity, 30 x 12 x 8, Black:

The web site says 30 x 8 x 12 and that the stand is 12 inches high. But 12 inches is the depth of the shelf, the shelf is only 8 inches high. Realized this after it was put together and we went to set it up in our home office. We reconfigured how we planned to use it and it worked. It is very sturdy, holds a small flat screen tv and a couple of other things. The binder stands don't have to be used which was a plus for us, they would have been in the way. One leg was missing protective pads so have some on hand to adhere to the bottom of the legs to protect your desk top. It was easy to assemble and is heavier and more substantial than I thought it would be.

The Safco Desk Riser has slightly more than 18" clearance space between the supports.

      • Q:

Can the shelf dividers be removed? I'm using mine to elevate a small TV, not for binders.

        • A:

We just purchased this shelf to hold a tv. The dividers are optional. The shelf is grooved and the dividers slide in from the side. You can use none or one or all and space them however you want.
