I have a room in my basement and three of the walls are the cinder block foundation walls. I bought some pin up boards that came with mounting squares. But they wouldn't stick to the cinder block walls. Of course I couldn't use nails, so I got out my roll of Scotch Mounting Tape. Put a few pieces on the back of each board, and stuck them up on the wall. And of course they stuck perfectly. More than a year later they are still on the wall with no signs of ever falling off. Now I don't even use those squares that come with things unless they are Scotch. I just get out my Scotch Mounting tape and use it instead.

The product is on it's way to being good - but needs more work... The dispenser really needs to be improved upon - It should be something that is more reusable than the cardboard which cannot be opened, sealed and re-opened. Pealing off the liner can be frustrating due to it pulling off the tape from where you are trying to attach the object to be hung. Suggest using a design Dymo uses with their label makers - the backing on the labels has a break in the middle, making it easier to peel off the label as it does not involve the corners where you cannot separate the backing from the label. I am answering yes re. recommending to a friend - but only after these issues are addressed and corrected.

Works Well, When You Can Get It Off The Roll

By

from Asheboro, NC, United States

Comments about Scotch Cubicle Grips:

I had been having issues with pictures being knocked down that were hung on nails, so when 3M asked me to try this I was excited. The adhesive is super strong; so strong that it is hard to peel the plastic backing off of it. Also the side of the tape roll will stick to anything you lay it down on, so make sure to keep the original packaging and use the blister it was packed in to store it. It actually stuck to my desk and pulled up some of the finish, so I learned it the hard way. I haven't used it for anything close to 10 lbs yet, but for things like posters and calendars, it works extremely well, so much better than plain double sided tape.

Super Strong

By

from Steubenville, OH, United States

Comments about Scotch Cubicle Grips:

I got this tape for free to test it out. I actually tried it on a horseshoe to see just how strong it could be. A small 1/2" piece had been holding up a full-sized metal horseshoe for over a month now. So, This morning, I decided to remove it. The tape came off both surfaces very cleanly with no damage to the finish of either.

Wow! A double-sided tape that I can work with!

By

from Sewell, NJ

Comments about Scotch Cubicle Grips:

I've tried various double-sided tapes before, but never on like this! Most tapes are very thin and difficult to work with, including the removal of the backing, but not this roll! Besides the impressive thickness of the tape, which makes it much more manageable, it is also easy to apply and remove the backing, making it a pleasure to use. Rated at 10 lbs, this tape is quite strong, especially when multiple strips are used to distribute the weight, and will hold an amazing assortment of items in place. Very impressive!

Wow!! Sticky stuff!!

By

from Dallas, TX, United States

Comments about Scotch Cubicle Grips:

I received this 3M - Scotch® Clear Mounting Tape, 1 in x 5 ft for free from 3M in return for my honest review. Stuff works good for anything light weight, a few pounds and under that you need to keep in place or hang permanently on a surface. You should get some of this tape you won't be disappointed.

Comments about Scotch Cubicle Grips:

I used this to hang a picture in my bathroom. It worked well and the moisture in the room has not affected the strength of the hold.
