Comments about Uni-Ball Vision Elite BLX Rollerball Pen:
The Vision Elite has been my everyday pen for over a decade. For a long time I used blue-black ink and was then thrilled when they came out with the purple-black. Depending on what color paper you are writing on, it comes out from a dark purple to a dusky gray lilac to a brown (the last is on yellow legal pad). I take voluminous notes during interviews, and the ball allows me to write really fast since the ink flows very smoothly and the pen doesn't stick or skip. I like the .8mm tip because I like the feel. Others who like fine point would prefer the .5mm. I like the fact that the unusual color allows me to see on sight whether something was written by me. They must be out there, but I have never actually seen anyone else writing with the purple-black pen. The only thing I would change is that I have never seen a refill of this color anywhere. (And I have looked extensively.) You can buy blue, black, or blue-black refills. I hate throwing away so much plastic since they're not refillable, but I don't hate it enough not to use them.
