Samsung Data Migration was very simple to use and totally successful on first try. Expected that I would need sector-to-sector clone application, such as EaseUS or AOMEI, but no reason. Used Samsung Magician first on an 850 EVO 2.5" SSD, purchased year earlier, to update the firmware after Tech Support reassurance that it worked perfectly 99.9% of the time. Then set the drive to Over Provision recommended values and checked the performance. Used it on the new 850 EVO mSATA, which already had the current firmware, to set Over Provision and check performance. Very pleased w the included software!!

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and decided to give an overhaul to my old laptop, increased the amount of RAM and decided to switch to a solid state drive and picked this particular model because of Samsung's reputation, its features and a fair price. It turns out that the migration software does not recognize the solid state drive and when I contacted Samsung tech support they said the software does not support Windows 10, that I should get a third party software that supports Windows 10 or wait until Samsung releases a Windows 10 compatible version of the migration software, hopefully some time this month

Comments about Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB Internal Solid State Drive:
My wife has the 2011 Samsung Series 9 NP900X3A with a 2nd Gen Dual Core i5 processor, 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, and 128 GB mSATA drive. It was getting frustratingly slow, to the point where we considered buying her a new laptop. After some research, we decided to buy parts and upgrade her existing laptop instead. Bought another 4 GB of RAM, this Samsung 850 EVO mSATA, and an external enclosure (so I could still use the 128 GB drive). Did a fresh install of Windows 10 easily and included Samsung's Magician Software to better optimize the SSD. Laptop now runs as well as most modern day laptops that could have cost us 800 USD. With newer NVME drives though, I was hoping I could get this for much cheaper.. probably would have gotten the 1 TB. Regardless of price, this was a purchase I was very happy to make!

Comments about Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB Internal Solid State Drive:
My laptop had a 120GB mSATA, which was an upgrade and working fine. However, when I saw the price for this 250GB mSATA with a "5 YEAR" warranty, it just made logical sense to upgrade my laptop with this new SAMSUNG mSATA. My mSATA port is a SATA 3.0 port and this SAMSUNG mSATA is a speed demon. I could not be happier with this items performance and did I mention it comes with a 5 YEAR warranty!!! I have married this SAMSUNG 850 EVO mSATA alongside the SAMSUNG 850 EVO 500GB SSD. Using the SAMSUNG Magician software will even enable these drives to run at a higher performance marker! Couldn't be happier and highly recommend!

Comments about Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB Internal Solid State Drive:
Easy to install on my laptop. First time even though software said drive mirroring was complete it would not boot. I did it again but formatted the new drive first and it worked beautifully and still is. I probably should have formatted the new drive first but it has been a while since I have built or upgraded any PC's or laptops. Upgraded a 128 SSD that was in the red zone for almost full to this 1 TB SSD. You don't get the full 1 TB, you get somewhere over 900 GIG, but that is the usual case with most drives. So far I am very pleased with this new drive.

Installed this mSATA SSD in 2 Dell M4800 and one M4600 Precision as the primary OS drive. Used the included clone software on the 4600; clean OS installs on the 4800s. Used Magician on all three. Graet software to maximize the potential of this dynamo drive.

Comments about Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB Internal Solid State Drive:
I installed a 850 Evo MSATA 500gb ssd in my Dell XPS 8700. The install was easy to install, the BIOS setup went easily as well. Samsung Data Migration Software was easy to use and work well for my system. Highly recommend, install is easy and the performance gains are astronomical. The XPS 8700 is a totally new machine, for the money this is the best upgrade , a great bang for the buck. If you decide to get an SSD I recommend to get a Samsung SSD, not only for the ease of install, but also for performance and strong history of reliability.

Comments about Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB Internal Solid State Drive:
FAST! I have this installed in an external mSata enclosure connected to my computer via usb 3.0 cable. Rather than extra storage, I cloned my OS to the drive and run my system through it with zero issues. I'm recording speeds of 370 write and 430 reads, much faster than my internal 5,400rpm SATA hard drive, which gave me only 60/75 read/write speeds. Best bang for your buck if you're looking for a super small SSD for portable storage, and probably better if you install internally.

I bought the Samsung EVO 850 500 GB msata drive to upgrade from a 128 GB drive in my computer. I used the Samsung Data Migration software to clone the new disk using a USB 3.0 drive enclosure. The software could not have been easier to use and 40 minutes later I had a new 500GB drive in my computer. I did not even have to format the new drive because the software took care of that. I am a very happy customer.

I've had this M.2 drive for like 2 months and the speeds exceeds my expectation. I don't know if there's anyone else getting such speed but I find my drive to be exceeding the set standards. Saves me lots of time when I'm running big data reports on crystal reports and sql queries as well.

The Samsung SSD 850 EVO mSata model MZ-M5E500 is the best little hard drive you could have , I mean 500gb of space on such a small drive. I keep all my backups on it. Thanks Samsung.

I have had this device for a while now, and it is good. So far no issues. My bootup time went from 90 seconds to around 20-30 using Windows 7 Ultimate. Things load notably faster.

Product is excellent. With purchase of USB 3.0 enclosure (not included with the product) and using Samsung migration tool I was able to clone and install the SSD without any problem. Though it took very long for 250gig SSD to clone using USB 3.0 enclosure. Overall I am satisfied with the product.
