Comments about Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB Internal Solid State Drive:

Super high quality, was a breeze with samsung software to swap my drive for the EVO, one thing I noticed my computer is much faster, I had 256GB OEM in a Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro when I installed this drive the computer response is even faster. Very pleased with this product.

It took me 20 minutes from opening the case to booting the laptop. Once I ran the data migration software boot up took less than 1 minute, from power up to connected to the internet.

Comments about Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB Internal Solid State Drive:

Awesome ssd. However... not as easy to install. You have to down load data migration and magician from the Internet. Should come with instructions. Also... it did not shut down regular had drove. It kept crashing. Had to disconnect had drive. Then boot up.

Based on current market of SSD, this is the best M.2 AHCI ssd money can buy. With latest intel skull canyon I get full speed specified by Samsung. Happy that Samsung has 1TB version available if I need more space. If your motherboard or BIOS support NVMe then you should get 950 pro. I highly recommend this SSD.

Comments about Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB Internal Solid State Drive:

I am a professional aerospace engineer for hardware and software. as such, my work challenges my development hardware often up to and beyond the published specs. these evo ssd's of which i currently have 10 in constant use have provided me with the ability to compile, store, manipulate data in truly an outstanding and highly reliable fashion for a large, complex, and interrelated cross-platform project that involves all the latest windows, mac, and linux servers and their companion workstations. from machine language to c/c++ to c# to java, to sql, to html5 and some proprietary systems i have enjoyed a development lab that is virtually quiet and certainly cooler than when my equipment used rotational storage devices. i have taken the time to compare the speed between my older development and the current setups. i have re-compiled and compared the overall completion times and find that in every (my specific) case my overall time to completion is simply faster even on some of my older, much slower processors. i heartily recommend these units to even the most casual user. i have a batch of the (even faster) EVO 512's coming for an extension of the current development and am expecting to be even more pleased with these Samsung products. (not sure this is appropriate but i have tested other manufacturer's products and have chosen Samsung for the final production deliveries).

Comments about Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB Internal Solid State Drive:

Upgrading to the Samsung SSD 850 EVO M.2 500GB is the best thing that ever happened for my laptop. Apps load blazingly fast. The increase in performance is immediately noticeable. The only hassle is that it does not come with a M.2 mounting screw. And to my luck, my laptop also does not have a M.2 screw in the mounting screw hole of its M.2 slot. So I had to procure a separate M.2 screw which was a bit of a hassle. Data migration was a bit tricky since the Samsung Data Migration Tool was not able to clone the recovery partition of my old hard disk. Kinda disappointed about that, but it's not much of a big deal since I was able to make a workaround by creating a recovery USB using Windows 10's "Create USB Recovery" app. Overall though, I am very satisfied with the product. I'm never settling for those old, rattling, heavy hard disks again. Ever.

No problems with the install on an Acer Aspire VN7-561G, used EaseUS for the migration. I am happy that the Samsung Magician worked. (In the past it wasn't supported)

I wanted to go with a slightly faster m.2 SSD for my new build but the budget got in the way. That said, this one has been brilliant. My system loads so fast I don't have time to do anything else. access to my files is instant and long load times on games is a distant memory. For a balance of value, performance, and reliability, this is one fantastic choice.
