Canon HS-1200TS 12-Digit Angled Display Calculator - Desktop calculator offers a 12-digit, upright angled, liquid crystal display with large, easy-to-read numbers to provide you with maximum viewing comfort. Ergonomic angle of the display provides comfort and reduces eyestrain from overhead lighting. Display indicates the operation symbol (+, -, x, ÷) during a calculation and will also show the equal sign (=) when your result is displayed. Decimals appear in 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and floating positions. High-quality keys incorporate a PC-like keyboard touch. Functions include add mode, tax calculation, business functions, cost/sell/margin keys, three-key memory, grand total feature, percent, and sign change, percentage add-on/discount, round off/up/down and square root. Calculator operates on solar and battery power and automatically shuts off after seven minutes of nonuse.

    What does the different 12 different settings mean?

      the only reference to 12 anything I can see is the 12 digit display. This means that up to 12 single numbers can be shown on the display, where many calculators are up to 8 digits.
