First you have to manually turn on the device you want to program. Next press and hold the key of the device on the remote and press the power key. When the power key goes off and then comes back on. When it comes back on, release both keys. Point the remote at the device and press play, wait 5 seconds and your device should turn off. If not, press play again. If it turned off, press reverse. If the tv turned back on, press stop, if not, repeat reverse/stop until it turns on.
