Q:Do these cartridges have the chip to indicate status[ie: ink level, trouble or error notes, etc]. If not, is there a chance that my printer will reject and disallow printer to function??
07sep12Asked on 9/7/2012 by DB from Hayward, CA
A:The Innovera Ink Cartridge is designed to be fully compatible in all functions with any printer that uses that model cartridge.Answered on 9/11/2012 by Adam
A:The cartridges do include a chip, but will not report ink level. The printer will indicate that ink level is unknown; according to the instructions with the cartridge, you just carry on printing until you see signs of low ink (ie prints don't look good) and replace the cartridge at that point. You can try calling Innovera customer support for additional information -- I called them recently and found them to be very helpful.Answered on 9/12/2012 by Greg from Interwebs, USA
