good sturdy footrest

Comments about 3M Adjustable Footrest:

Good all around well constructed footrest. Only downside is the sandpaper non-slip finish... it wears out rubber soled shoes quite faster.

Cut-Rate Half-Plastic Crack-Happy After Two Years:

from Jacksonville, FL, United States

Comments about 3M Adjustable Footrest:

So, I bought this in October 2012, thinking I was getting a durably constructed metal footrest. In point of fact, only the base is metal, while the footrest itself is plastic. It has been used daily since then, true enough - but no undue force has ever been applied to it, nor has it ever been subjected to kids or teens. (Also, I weigh less than 150 lbs.) This October I first noticed that the footrest had started seeming to sag. Inspecting it, I found two cracks: one in the exact center of the footrest, and a more severe one where the plastic bolted to one side of the base. I attempted to jury-rig it with an excess of Gorilla tape, but here we are mere weeks later and the rest has simply broken past the point of usability.
