Comments about Fiskars ProCision Bypass Rotary 12.5"" Paper Cutter:

The last paper cutter I purchased was also a Fiskars, and it served me well for several years. When it came time to replace it, I did quite a bit of research. I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg, but I wanted a well built, good quality product. I have had this one for a couple of weeks now, and I'm very happy with it. It is very accurate, and will trim very thin strips without any problem. I read a few negative reviews about the ruler between the 5 1/2" and 6" marks. While I understand the issue, I haven't found that to be a deal breaker. I would recommend this paper cutter to the average scrapbooker or card maker without any hesitation.

  • Q:

can this trimmer do scoring cut? Is there any scoring blade to replace? For an expensive and nice product like this, I would be surprised if it can only cut through and can't do scoring cut?

  • Q:

is there anything to hold paper in place while cutting
Asked on 2/24/2014 by James from Spring Lake, NC

    • A:

Yes. A clear plastic guard covers the paper while you cut. You may choose to lock it down or you can use the room provided on the guard to press down with your fingers to hold the paper in place. There are several review videos on line which have been posted by by consumers where you can watch a demonstration and hear the pros and cons for this trimmer. You may find them to be beneficial.
