This stapler looks so much better than the other heavy-duty staplers I've used in the past. When I first got it out of the box, I was wondering where the directions were--there weren't any because you don't need them. A drawing on the base of the stapler shows how to load the staples and which staple size is needed for the number of pages you'll be stapling. You just push a button on the back of the stapler and the staple chamber opens. The chamber doesn't hold as many staples as a regular stapler. I tried this out at home first on some stacks of documents. The first time I tried to staple something, I didn't press down hard enough. It took me a few tries to get the correct pressure. I took it to work and put in some Bostitch staples that I have for my office stapler. When I stapled just two or three pages together, two staples came out instead of one, and this happened each time I tried it--I'm not sure if the opening for the staples to go through was too large for the staples I was using? I also used Rapid 3/8" staples on some multi-page documents. Again, it took me a few tries to get used to how much pressure to use. I should mention that I was sitting at my desk at the time. I found it easier to put the correct amount of pressure when I was standing. With other heavy-duty staplers, I would also stand when using them, so this isn't really an issue. I liked the Rapid staples and they kept the papers firmly stapled. In fact, I later needed to remove a staple so I could remove a page and copy it. It was a bit difficult to remove compared to when I've removed staples that came from my regular office stapler. I wish I'd had this stapler when I'd needed to staple several pages together several times a day at a different office. It would've saved me from having to staple a few pages together, and then staple another stack to the last few pages, and so on, because I didn't have a stapler powerful enough like this to secure such a large stack in one go.

Make sure to buy the appropriate staples or switch out staples depending on the job. Initially, I was using longer staples than I needed and I wasn't satisfied with the end result. After I realized the staples were the wrong size and put in the correct ones I was very satisfied. The paper goes in halfway of the length of the stapler so when you press down on the arm you get a lot more torque making it easier to staple.

This stapler is incredibly great at putting together (stapling) large amounts of paper well. What made me the most happy is that the staples did not rip or tear the paper, or mis-shoot out of he stapler.

I use(d) this in a classroom setting. I have been looking for a stapler that can handle teenagers' rough use, but easy enough to use for teenagers who are used to touchscreen as opposed to more manual objects. The price of the Rapid Heavy Duty Stapler HD130 made me a little wary. A super heavy-duty stapler for under $50? Seemed too good to be true.

Immediately upon opening the box I was struck with how high quality this stapler is. I've used heavy-duty before (meaning 100+ page capability). In my experience, most stapler companies use plastic wherever possible. Not Rapid. This thing is built like a tank. And that is a very good thing. It's metal frame and base give this stapler a very solid feel. Plus it won't slide around when you're using it. Mind you, there is some plastic on it but it's only on the tip of the handle and a little on the back. And this seems to be there for comfort as a metal handle could wear on your hands with extended use.

So how does it staple? Short answer: awesome. Now for the long answer.

I'm an English teacher by trade and a writer by hobby. I've got no shortage of papers in need of stapling. So I set about doing a little testing.

I started with about 40 pages. It went through no problem.
Then I went to around 80 pages. Again, no problem.
Then came the real test: 100-ish pages of scrap paper. To my pleasant surprise, the Rapid handled the job with aplomb.

All-in-all, this stapler is exactly what it claims to be—a heavy-duty machine capable of handling heavy-duty jobs. And, of course, smaller jobs as well. The only potential downside to this is that it is about 4-times larger than regular staplers but that is true of all heavy-duty staplers. If you're in the market for a something that can handle big jobs, the Rapid would be a fine choice.

I got this stapler as a sample and I have really enjoyed using it. It's easy to use and it's durable and the staples hold well. I was able to use the stapler easily one handed while holding my baby with the other hand. It's also very easy to load then staples into the stapler. They don't jam or get stuck. This stapler is also pretty compact for a heavy duty stapler. I am happy with this product and would recommend it.

I received this stapler as a free sample to test. I was surprised at the size of the stapler. It's really quite large. But it seems well constructed and very useful. It's very easy to load. I tried the half inch and three quarter inch staples. It didn't jam on me which is great, but the stales tend to stick to the stapler after pushing down, unless you have the minimum number of pages for the size of the staple. (The longer the staple, the more pages you need.) Luckily, there's a little chart directly on the stapler giving ranges for 3 different sized staples. For normal daily household use, you need to use the smallest size. This thing is great for getting through big stacks though. The only negative is that it would be nice if would come with a short instruction sheet for loading and which staples to use for the amount of material being stapled.

This stapler is super heavy duty and large capacity. The long handle is the perfect lever to easily and smoothly staple even large jobs. The release button on top lets the staple reservoir slide open in the front for easy loading. The staples come in many weights and sizes, one for every size of job.
The closure is strong and secure even when used at the full capacity of 7/8" thick. The capacity is limited by the opening between the base and top of the staple dispenser.

Perfect for light jobs too when used with the light weight, smaller staples. Versatility makes this the perfect stapler for any job under 1"!

This is a very good product. I did not have the opportunity to use all the sizes of staples that came with it, but it is easy to use and seals well. I primarily used it for stapling large reports and repairing children's picture books that had pages come loose. The handle is comfortable but it would be nice to have some gripper padding on the top to make it a little less slippery. i think it will hold up as it is made with quality materials. I also like that the base has recommended staple sizes to use on it so you know which staples to use. All in all, a very good product. I would definitely recommend

I have been using this heavy duty stapler for business purposes. It is excellent at stapling through bulky documents. It is much more sturdy than other staplers we have used in the office. We were surprised at the versatility of this stapler. Just a simple changing of the staple for the thickness of the job you want to do gives you excellent results. Easy to use, but I would not use it if you just want to staple a couple of sheets. Much better for the larger stapling jobs. Seems to be very well made. We would recommend this stapler, especially for large stapling jobs.

I write academic reports for my job. The documents are frequently 10 to 15 pages long. Regular staples don't go all the way through. This stapler was so easy to do with one hand. The handle is long and very easy to push down. The staples were heavy duty and easily closed the multi page documents. My only negative was that the staples stuck if the document was less than ten pages.
