My husband and I are both on blood thinners. That means we have to keep a wound covered until it is almost healed otherwise we risk losing the scab and starting all over. These band aids seal all four sides and keeps anything getting into the wound and the bandaid stays on even during a shower. Absolutely love these.

I went down to South Carolina for a vacation and tools new pair of shoes. I bought these band aids and put the on the area where the shoes would rub (side of big toe at bottom) and when I went to remove the band aids they ripped big chunks of my skin off on then bottoms of my feet, right where that ball is at bottom of big toe. One started to bleed bad, right through the new band aid I put on that my husband had to run 6 blocks to get while I sat and waited in the boardwalk. My feet hurt so bad I had to go back to the hotel and leave early. We didn't get to the beach, the aquarium, nothing! There is NO way that a band aid should rip skin off of you, NO WAY! Totally ridiculous!

Amazing glue

By

from Oak Hill

Comments about Band-Aid TOUGH-STRIPS Flexible Bandages:

Bought to cover wound - wore less than three hours, doing normal household chores. Never got wet. Band aid won't even stick to itself, but by God it sure stuck to the area near the wound! Left my finger obscenely sticky & ultimately hurt worse! ! No good bandaid :(

Stays on through showers & frequent washings

By

from San Antonio

Comments about Band-Aid TOUGH-STRIPS Flexible Bandages:

I like cycling, which often results in minor wounds. These bandages stay on for several days despite showers, frequent washing of hands, domestic chores and the like. They are great for me, and I urge J&J to continue offering them. Athletes and active people of all ages will use them when they find out about them.

Hurt my toe - left red - tender and sore

By

from Pagosa Springs

Comments about Band-Aid TOUGH-STRIPS Flexible Bandages:

I used "tough strips" they say on the package this: "durable heavy duty fabric with super - stick adhesive" so imagine my surprise when the first band-aid did not stick at all on one side. So I got a second band aid and it stayed in place. The issue was 30 minutes later I tried to remove the band-aid but it was stuck on my toe. I pulled the first layer off but when I tried to remove the second layer it felt like it was super glued to my toe. I gently peeled it back and it left my big toe, sore, tender, sticky and it hurts. Basically I feel worse since applying this product, there should be a label or warning that says "use at your own risk."

Too wide

By

from Houston

Comments about Band-Aid TOUGH-STRIPS Flexible Bandages:

These 1" strips are too wide to use on the fingers, which is Mainly Where I NEED the Tough Strip. The other ones will stick just fine on your knee or elbow. The Tough Strip Needs to be Available in "3/4inch"

Ummmm never again

By

from Urbandale

Comments about Band-Aid TOUGH-STRIPS Flexible Bandages:

I had a sore on my upper bicep. So I used one of these band aids and it ripped 3 layers of skin off and it's completely pink where the adhesives was and hurts way worse than the sore that was there. So I guess if you wanna use these still (I won't) use with extreme caution.

Super tough, excellent for shop use

By

from University of Mississippi

Comments about Band-Aid TOUGH-STRIPS Flexible Bandages:

This is the official band-aid of our machine shop. Machinists working with sharp tools and metal chips all day go through many many band-aids. None we have used will stay put except this one. The Band-Aid Tough Strip Waterproof is tough as nails and will stay in place during repeated hand washings. We use go-jo and other hand cleaners plus oils, coolants and solvents and the Tough Strips stay on the job. There will be some adhesive residue most times but it is a small price to pay for a bandage that sticks on the job. Highly recommended,Thank you, Paul

"waterproof tough strips" not effective

By

from Londonderry

Comments about Band-Aid TOUGH-STRIPS Flexible Bandages:

My 12 year old son recently had stitches removed from his forearm. We were advised to keep the 1-inch area dry for one week. Not only were the "waterproof" tough strips NOT waterproof, they were not even water resistant. The bandage did not stick when exposed to moisture and the inner pad was wet and essentially ineffective after only 4 minutes of non-aggressive use. I will not use this product again!

Sticky residue when removed. Made a mess of the wound.

By

from Dundas

Comments about Band-Aid TOUGH-STRIPS Flexible Bandages:

While it is waterproof and kept my wound clean, it was a mess when I removed it. Stuck on strings and thick sticky residue left on my skin, next to the wound. Made for more pain, not what you want in a bandage! Will not purchase this product again.

Only Band-Aid I'll ever buy again

By

from Chicago

Comments about Band-Aid TOUGH-STRIPS Flexible Bandages:

I'm an artist, craftsman and fisherman. My hands are constantly at work and I do not have time to reapply bandages or worry about getting an infection. I found these last year and are the only bandage I find worth while. They are great of small cuts and scrapes on your hands as they stick like duct-tape and put up with some serious abuse and water exposure. Thank you.

I hate bandages

By

from mansfield

Comments about Band-Aid TOUGH-STRIPS Flexible Bandages:

I have always hated bandages. Plasticy ones fall off easy, get dirty. Fabric ones never dry once they get wet, peel up on the edges. But unfortunatly being a klutz that cooks means Im forever cutting my fingers or getting burns. Recently I sliced the meaty area under my thumb on a slicer, took a chunk of skin off - its an odd place for a bandage and I knew one would never stay on whilst cooking. I pulled out one of these tough bandaids, it looked like duct tape but since it was plastic and a straight bandaid that wouldnt wrap around anything, I figured it would maybe stay on a few minutes. Not only did I cook dinner (washing my hands often), I washed my face with soap, I put cream on my hands, slept with it on and even had a bath and washed my hair the next day and it didnt even curl at the edges. Im amazed how well it has stuck, moved with my hand and stood up to water. And unlike with fabric ones when I did take it off to put fresh antiseptic on my cut, my skin wasnt wrinkled and damp. Awesome product.

The Best Band-Aid Ever

By

Comments about Band-Aid TOUGH-STRIPS Flexible Bandages:

It's like a duct-tape band-aid. Extremely strong adhesive that stays put. This is the only type of band-aid i buy now. Nothing else compares.

Best Thing Ever!

By

from Hartford

Comments about Band-Aid TOUGH-STRIPS Flexible Bandages:

I love this product. Love it. It truly is waterproof and it stays on. I placed it over a cut on my index finger on my dominant hand, and it stayed on... though several rounds of dishwashing... through showering... through several rounds of handwashing... even overnight. I had to remove it myself. There is enough adhesive on the sides of the gauze to ensure that the wound is fully protected. Great stuff.
