There are two inks sold as the same.

Comments about Pilot Marker Refill:

Officesupply.com is a good company and we appreciate their service and products. This ink however is an ongoing problem that has caused us to source eleswhere. Item 43500 is xylene based and is required for our application. Item 48500 is alcohol based and is not suitable for our application. Officesupply.com sells them as the same thing. Officesupply.com has been great about returns but I'd rather have the right product.

Comments about Pilot Marker Refill:

We've used this product for years and years and have loved it. Unfortunately they have reformulated in the recent past and now this is an alcohol based ink. For most applications this is fine but be aware if you are using this in cool or low temps, the alcohol is very slow to evaporate (if it's cold enough it doesn't evaporate for hours).
The yellow label with black lettering is xylene based and excellent for cool and cold application
The green label or yellow label with green lettering are alcohol based. They may be useful for something but has no value in our industry.
It would be most helpful if the vendor offered them as separate items.

    Comments about Pilot Marker Refill:

The Pilot Supercolor Refills Ink is a classic "true black" ink that I've been using for years, as well as offering on my own website to my customers. The Ink is alcohol-based so it works in any type of marker. It's permanent on most surfaces and it's priced just right for the amount you get. I prefer Pilot Supercolor Ink over most other brands. Plus the little pipette keeps you from making a mess when refilling your marker(s).
    **************************************************
If I were gonna change anything with the Pilot Supercolor Ink it would be to make it a little more fade-resistant....but since it's alcohol-based ink there's nothing that can really be done about that.

This is not made to be used on an ink pad. This is specifically for use with Pilot Jumbo and Super Color refillable permanent markers and BeGreen TwinMarker.
