Capable of data transfer rates of up to 400Mbps, FireWire technology provides a high speed link that saves time during large file transfers (e.g. transferring digital video files from a DV Camcorder to a computer etc). This 1ft IEEE-1394 Firewire cable (9-pin to 6-pin) cable provides a means to connect a FireWire 1394b device to a PC that only supports FireWire 1394a and vice versa, without costly upgrades.
