For MacBook, the number of displays that can be connected through the dock is up to two external displays. For M4 Max chipsets, you can maximize the CPU's display capabilities by connecting additional monitors directly to the MacBook, separate from the dock connection.
The SD5000T5 dock supports up to three video streams via a single upstream connection; however, the actual number of displays supported depends on the OEM laptop configuration. Contact your laptop manufacturer to confirm the Thunderbolt™ 5 port's display capabilities.
